It is unusual in being made entirely from Irish wool - following the decline in the Irish wool industry, the vast majority of woollen products made in Ireland are actually made from imported wool. Thats not the case here. Borges & Scott have searched carefully to bring you a totally Irish product with this warm and soft scarf.
This is a 100% Irish wool scarf - one of the last Irish sheep flocks suited for making clothing are feeding in Irish fields on lush Irish grass. The wool used in Borges & Scotts scarves is fully traceable to this flock. The wool only comes from the lambs in this flocks first sheering at an age of 6-8 months and is spun, dyed and woven into these terrific scarves in one of the few surviving traditional wool mills in Ireland.
